RECKONING
With identity. With the past. With the future. Reckoning is acknowledgement.
This artist contains multitudes and holds many identities. They are growing and changing. They are dealing with who they really are. Once a sailor, now not. Once a girl, now not. Once an artist, still an artist.
This body of work is about reckoning with my own presence in all its temporal locations. Material is important in this series. I am moving from the familiar (rope and wood) to the unfamiliar (everything else). The goal is to expand and confront myself within the work.
